The job market for Asia’s real estate professionals remains hot as we enter July with an Ascendas-Singbridge veteran finding a new role with a local developer and a long-time Cushman executive finding a new place in a competitor’s flexible office. Despite all these new roles a pair of Singapore’s longest-standing executives are leaving the office to play more golf and there’s many more details on who will be handing out new namecards if you just keep reading.

Gwee-Lian-KhengGwee Lian Kheng will be retiring from his role as CEO of Singapore’s UOL Group after 45 years with the developer. Gwee originally joined UOL as a financial controller in 1973, according to an account in the Straits Times, and has overseen the company’s growth from S$749 million in assets to S$20 billion at the end of the first quarter. Gwee, who will be leaving his executive duties on 31 January 2019 will retain a seat on UOL’s board.

Lim, who will be retiring from his role at the helm of CapitaLand group on December 31st has already relinquished his board positions with CapitaLand Retail China Trust Management, Ascott Residence Trust Management, CapitaLand Commercial Trust Management and CapitaLand Mall Trust Management.
