Mingtiandi’s Asia Logistics Forum has now entered its third week, with the spotlight turning to some of the region’s fastest growing warehouse markets for a pair of shows featuring speakers from ESR Kendall Square, LaSalle, Hines, JLL, Logos, CPPIB, Cushman & Wakefield and Vietnam’s BW Industrial.

The third annual edition of Asia’s largest logistics real estate will continue at 10:00 AM Hong Kong time on Tuesday, 24 May with a panel discussion on Korean opportunities, with a second panel, dedicated to emerging markets – particularly India and Southeast Asia – following at 10:00 AM on Thursday.

Mingtiandi’s logistics forum is free to view and you may access by registering at the link above.

The pair of shows, both of which are sponsored by Yardi, come after nearly 2,000 viewers joined the first three sessions in the Asia Logistics Forum, with this week’s programme looking at some of the hottest locations for new development projects, following our earlier panels on Japan and China.

Development Hotspots

In the Logistics Investment in South Korea panel on Tuesday, Mingtiandi will welcome Sanghwoi Bae, chief executive of ESR Kendall Square REIT; Steve Hyung Kim, head of Korea for LaSalle Investment Management; Harry Lee, director of Korea investments for Hines and Chae Hun Chang, head of South Korea for JLL.

The panel will examine the rapid growth in Korea’s online retail market and how this trend helped drive trades of incoming producing warehouse assets to a record $5.7 billion in value last year, as well as the outlook for rents as vacancy levels stay in the low single digits.

Innovation Up Next

Joining us for the focus session will be Dr. Michael de Jong-Douglas, group head for customer solutions and partnerships in logistics for ESR and Tim Foster, head of supply chain and logistics advisory for Asia Pacific at Cushman & Wakefield.

Following that final show in the logistics series, Mingtiandi’s Asian Capital in Australia forum will kick off on Tuesday, 14 June, with sessions diving into the outlook for Asian investor involvement in commercial real estate Down Under.
