Christmas is coming soon and one of these days Mingtiandi might even take a break. Until that happens, we’ve been busy tracking down some familar faces in new places, including a Canadian now sweating it out in sunny Singapore, a senior lawyer with a new business card in Beijing, and a reshuffle on the board of one of China’s biggest developers. Read on for all these moves and more.
Zhu Mingxin has resigned from his post as General Manager with Poly Real Estate Group following recent changes in his role, and has concurrently stepped down from the board of the Shanghai-listed developer, according to an announcement to the stock exchange. Zhu had served in his most recent position and been a board member of the company since April 2012. The directors agreed to have Xing Yi fill Zhu’s place on the board, with Liu Ping being promoted from Deputy General Manager to General Manager.
Graham Zink has joined China Fortune Land Development as a Vice President, based in Singapore. Zink took on his duties with the top ten mainland developer after relocating to the southeast Asian financial hub from China, where he had served for more than five years as Managing Director of Knight Frank’s Shanghai office. China Fortune Land has been expanding into international projects in recent years, with the Guangzhou-based company having undertaken initiatives in Indonesia and Malaysia over the last year.
Nancy Zhang has joined Junhe Law in Beijing as a partner with the pioneering mainland law firm. Formerly a senior partner with Jinchen Tongda & Neal, Zhang specialises in advising clients on real estate development, acquisitions, joint ventures and acquisition of project companies, as well as on leasing, financing structures and other property related areas. The graduate of Xi’an Jiaotong University also has previous experience with Kingfield law firm.
Kenith Kong is now Deputy General Manager with Hang Lung Properties, responsible for projects in Shenyang. The 16-year real estate industry veteran takes on his new role with the Hong Kong-based developer after serving most recently as Director and Head of Retail Services for China with DTZ/Cushman & Wakefield. In Shenyang, Hang Lung has two major retail-anchored commercial projects, Forum 66 and Palace 66.
Ami Zhang is now Deputy General Manager for Operations with Taiping Senior Living Management, based in Shanghai. Zhang joins the four-year-old division of China’s Taiping Insurance after spending less than two years with US-based senior living provider Merrill Gardens as Project General Manager with its China operation. The graduate of France’s Les Roches International School of Hotel Management also has experience with Shui On Land and serviced apartment platform Shama.
