2016/02/29 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

This week the region’s crew of real estate professionals finding new opportunities includes a veteran private equity pro helping a Hong Kong shop gain a foothold in New York, and a major consultancy bringing on experienced hands as it builds it investment team. Read on for all the details.

William Scully has joined Asia Pacific Land as Managing Director for US Investments, based in New York. Scully, who previously served as a Managing Director at Cerberus Capital Management and was a Partner at Apollo Real Estate Advisors is now charged with helping the Hong Kong-based real estate investment house establish a US presence and will lead the sourcing and executions of investments in North America for Asia Pacific Land.

Reeve Wang has joined JLL in Shanghai as a National Director with the consultancy’s capital markets team. Wang comes to JLL after previously serving as Director of Tenant Representation with Colliers International’s office leasing division in the city since 2008. This is the second tour at JLL for the veteran broker, who had earlier been head of Puxi Markets for the agency, where he served clients requiring office space in Shanghai’s traditional downtown districts. Wang also has previous experience with the office services division of CBRE in eastern China. JLL is expected to announce additional additions to its mainland capital markets team in the coming weeks.

Oliver WangOliver Wang has stepped up to become a Senior Manager with DTZ|Cushman & Wakefield in Beijing. Wang’s promotion comes just over one year after the University of Portsmouth graduate was named a Manager with the property agency, and less than four years after Wang joined C&W as an Assistant Manager in 2012. Wang is part of the company’s office leasing team representing clients looking for commercial space in the country’s capital.

Jacob ChenJacob Chen has been promoted to Senior Manager with DTZ|Cushman & Wakefield’s tenant representation team in Shenzhen. Chen’s step up comes after serving as a manager assisting clients with office requirements in the southern Chinese city for more than two years. The graduate of National Taiwan University and the UK’s University of Reading, also has experience in the government land office in Taipei, Taiwan.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
