Mingtiandi more or less burned its old server into the ground
Mingtiandi has continued its rapid expansion in 2016, with the site now averaging more than 40,000 unique visitors per month and more than 170 new subscribers every 30 days.
Unfortunately, this has also recently led to accessibility issues for some users as Mingtiandi outgrows its existing technical platform. So faced with the choice of either shedding some visitors, or getting a bigger server, we decided to spend the money and invest in some new IT resources.
For those of you who have encountered error messages and slow response times when accessing Mingtiandi in the past few weeks, we apologise for the interruptions in service. We have taken temporary measures to upgrade our existing web host for this week, and will be migrating to a new host on the weekend of March 12th.
If you are hoping to use the site over March 12th or 13th, there may be some further interruptions in accessing the site as we migrate to our new address. We are doing everything possible to minimise such disruptions.
From next week, however, you can expect a Mingtiandi that is faster than ever. Whether you are accessing the site from Hong Kong, Shanghai or London you should see any page you choose within one second of your first click.
