Zhang Yi, a seasoned professional with over a decade of expertise in data center and real estate investment, currently spearheads innovation as the Joint Venture Director in Asia Pacific with the corporate development team at EdgeConneX.
At EdgeConneX, Zhang Yi’s responsibilities span a comprehensive spectrum, ranging from land acquisition and market development to investment management and joint venture oversight. His strategic acumen continues to drive the expansion of EdgeConneX’s footprint, both in existing markets and in nascent territories.
Formerly at CapitaLand and Alibaba, he led data center investment and site selection, driving expansion into new markets like Singapore and China. Zhang Yi’s expertise secured over 100MW of data center capacity in Asia.
Beyond his professional pursuits, he’s a devoted father of two and finds solace in jogging and indulges his intellectual curiosity by delving into business books centered around communications and psychology.
