Rushabh Desai, CEO, Varsity Group Asia Pacific

Rush Desai is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Varsity Group Asia Pacific, a Singapore domiciled real estate fund management business focusing on alternative real estate sectors like Living, Education, Healthcare and Technology.

Prior to setting up Varsity Group Asia Pacific in 2023, Rush Desai was the Chief Executive Officer for Allianz Real Estate Asia Pacific for over 6 years. He was a voting member of the Allianz Real Estate Global Executive Committee, as well as the Allianz Real Estate Global Equity Investment Committee. Under his leadership, Allianz Real Estate established a USD 9+ billion portfolio in the region as well as raised over USD 2 billion third-party capital to invest alongside Allianz.

Prior to joining Allianz Real Estate in 2016, Rush gained diverse global experience in positions of increasing leadership responsibilities at GE/GE Capital/GE Real Estate.

Rush is active with real estate forums like ULI (Global Governing Trustee), APREA, ANREV, PERE and Mingtiandi. He graduated from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata, India and completed an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, India.

Varsity Group Asia Pacific (“VGAP”) is a real estate investment manager exclusively focusing on ‘alternative’ investments in Asia Pacific. VGAP strategies include the Living, Education, Healthcare and Technology sectors. VGAP is headquartered in Singapore and led by Rush Desai.
