James King serves as Senior Director, Portfolio Management for Barings Real Estate Australia.
James has over 17 years of experience in real estate investment, financing, and funds management, capital transactions, capital raising, product development, and impact investing. He is responsible for the key functions of portfolio and investment management, portfolio construction, debt procurement, structuring, strategy, and product development across the platform.
Prior to joining the firm, James was the Head of Investor Relations at Qualitas and the national transaction lead at Leighton Properties for residential and mixed-use investments.
James holds a Bachelor of Business in Property Economics from the University of Western Sydney.
