
Hirohisa Fujimoto, Vice President, Development, Japan and Micronesia, Hilton
Hiro joined the Hilton Tokyo Regional Office in January 2009 as Director of Development for Japan. He has been responsible for driving the expansion of the pipeline for 23 brands under Hilton, including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton and many other brands from lifestyle to luxury.
Starting from 6 hotels when he joined Hilton, Hiro has been involved in developing the business including Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk (opened 2010), Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort (opened 2014), Hilton Tokyo Odaiba (opened 2015), Conrad Osaka (opened 2017), KIKYO Curio Collection by Hilton in Karuizawa (opened 2018) and more. Today, Hilton in Japan has grown to 38 hotels, and a further 8 hotels in the pipeline. Recent and upcoming openings include Canopy Osaka (2024), Hilton Kyoto (2024), Waldorf Astoria Osaka (2025) and Waldorf Astoria Tokyo Nihonbashi (2026). He also oversees development of the Micronesia region and was promoted to his current position in 2020.
Hiro has graduated from Shinshu University with a degree in economics.
