Duke Lee is one of the founding members for Pebblestone Asset Management Korea and is currently the Head of Investment & AM Division 2, leading the acquisition and asset management activities of the firm. Duke has about 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to Pebblestone, he worked for Deutsche Asset Management Korea as an acquisition manager for various assets and as a portfolio manager for major Korean institutional investors such as NPS and Samsung Life Insurance for their overseas investments. Duke graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in International Relations.
Pebblestone Asset Management Korea was founded in 2015, led by its CEO Terry Hwang who served as a CEO of Deutsche Asset Management Korea prior to the founding of the company. The company’s name was inspired from the biblical story of David and Goliath, symbolizing our determination to stand strong in the highly competitive global asset management market. Like the pebble that David used to defeat Goliath, we aim to deliver precise and impactful investment strategies through a team of dedicated professionals.
Since our establishment in 2015, we have executed over 25 investment deals in office, logistics, and retail sectors totaling approximately US$3 billion. Working with both global and domestic institutional investors such as Blackstone, Angelo Gordon, Hines, PAG, Gaw Capital and UBS, we have consistently pursued diversified strategies that target appropriate risk-adjusted returns even in volatile market conditions. Notably, five of our exited projects have achieved an IRR exceeding 20%, demonstrating our ability to generate strong and consistent performance.
In addition to the Separate Account Mandate with some institutional investors, Pebblestone is also in the process of securing blind fund from a major local institutional investor, expanding our capital base for domestic investments and reinforcing our path of stable and sustained growth.
Since our establishment, we have been committed to social responsibility, continuously supporting underprivileged youth through donations made via organizations such as World Vision and other social and religious foundations. Pebblestone will continue to support the well-being of future generations and remain devoted to our role as a socially responsible company.
