Tang Wei Leng Takes Over at Colliers Singapore

Colliers International Group announced on Tuesday that Tang Wei Leng has been appointed as managing director of the company’s Singapore business. The new hire represents a return to Colliers for the veteran agency operative, who takes over the post vacated when Dennis Yeo left the company to join CBRE in September of this year.

Commenting on the new leadership for Colliers Singapore business, David Hand, CEO for Asia Pacific at Colliers said, “Wei Leng is an established and dynamic leader with very strong capital markets expertise. She comes with a proven track record and deep client relationships that will help us accelerate the success of our clients in Singapore and across the region.”

Colliers has made several top level personnel moves in Asia this year after the agency’s parent company announced in February that Colliers would be spun off as a separate listed entity. The spin off and NASDAQ listing of Colliers was completed in June.

Several of the major agencies have seemingly been trading senior leaders in recent months as top executives from JLL, Colliers and CBRE have been leaving long-time positions and appearing in new roles at rival agencies.

For Tang, this is her second tour with Colliers, after spending the last year as Regional Director for Investments at JLL in Singapore.

Before joining JLL in November 2014, Tang had spent just under four years with Colliers in Singapore, before leaving the company as Executive Director for Investment Services in October 2014. The National University of Singapore graduate also has experience in senior roles with Wachovia Bank and DTZ.

At Colliers, Tang will be reunited with fellow JLL alum David Hand, who took over the agency’s top APAC role in June of this year. Just this last week Hand’s predecessor, Piers Brunner resurfaced as CEO for Greater China at Knight Frank. Tang’s predecessor, Dennis Yeo left his spot at the top of Colliers in Singapore to head up CBRE’s industrial division for Asia.
