New namecards are being given out in two of Asia’s primary financial hubs early this month as a set of veteran property professionals take on new roles, or decide to take some time off.

The Singapore government’s primary city planning consultancy has made a top level change this month, while the Lion City also sees top level changes in its brokerage community. Hong Kong also has its share of people moves, as JLL picks up a capital markets director from Knight Frank and a mainland private equity firm finds a new director of fund raising.

teo eng cheongSurbana Jurong international CEO Teo Eng Cheong has resigned as head of the Singapore urban development consultancy’s regional division, according to statements by the Temasek Holdings-controlled firm this past week. Teo, who joined Surbana Jurong to lead its regional operations on 1 January 2016, is said to be leaving to pursue other interests. The career Singapore government official is married to the city-state’s Manpower Minister Josephine Teo and had earlier served as head of International Enterprise Singapore from 2011 to 2015.

tang chee charnSavills Singapore has appointed Tang Chee Charn as an executive director with its property management team, with the former Colliers International team member starting his new duties as of 1 September. Savills said in a statement that the appointment is part of its mission to grow the firm’s property management services in Singapore, with Tang having formerly headed the same business line for Colliers in the city.

clement hoClement Ho has signed up with JLL in Hong Kong, where he joined this month as director with the capital markets team. Ho’s work will focus on investment transactions in the city and he starts the new role after more than two years with Knight Frank’s valuation and advisory team for Greater China, where he was also based in Hong Kong. yann deschampsYann Deschamps has taken on a new challenge with serviced office provider Arcc Spaces, where he now serves as commercial director based in Singapore. The long-time Savills broker took on the leadership role with the regional shared workplace provider after previously heading the UK consultancy’s Workthere serviced office platform for Asia Pacific since late 2017. Deschamps also spent more than four years with Savills in Shanghai, in addition to earlier experience with Colliers and JLL in the city.

Yuri ZhouYuri Zhou has joined Sino-Ocean Capital in Hong Kong as director for fund raising with the fund management division of one of China’s largest state-owned property groups. Zhou takes on her new responsibilities this month after more than six years with fund management industry non-profit group EPRA, where she served most recently as a director. The University of Toronto graduate also has previous experience with Citibank.

amanda tamAmanda Tam has joined King Wah Group in Hong Kong as a director, according to an update to her LinkedIn profile. Tam started on the job at King Wah this month after more than five years at fund manager Pamfleet, where she served most recently as a Senior Asset Manager. Prior to joining Pamfleet in 2015 the University of San Francisco graduate had spent nearly four years with property consultancy Savills in Hong Kong.

martin langthalerMartin Langthaler has hopped a plane back to Europe to rejoin engineering consultancy Turner & Townsend as a director in its Munich office. Langthaler began his new position this month after previously spending more than four years with CBRE Asia Pacific in Singapore, where he had served as director of project management. The graduate of FH Joanneum in Linz, Austria had previously worked with Turner & Townsend in London during 2015 and 2016.
