This week Greater China’s community of real estate professionals features a selection of team members jumping from one property consultancy to another, as well as a crop of agency veterans jumping to find new challenges at competing companies. Read on to get all the details.
Natalie Tsui has been promoted to Director and Head of Marketing and Communications for Greater China with Knight Frank. The move up for Tsui comes three years after the graduate of Hong Kong Baptist University joined the UK-based property consultancy from Swire Properties. Tsui has quickly worked her way up the ranks at Knight Frank since originally being hired as Marketing Manager, and then being promoted to Associate Director in 2014.
Chun-Ru Chen has been promoted to Manager with the Tenant Advisory Group at Cushman & Wakefield in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The graduate of the University of Reading in the United Kingdom specialises in commercial leasing transactions, valuation, and real estate investment with the US-based property consultancy. Chen’s latest promotion comes less than two years after he joined the company in October 2013.
Catherine Chen has been promoted to the rank of Senior Manager with the Research and Consultancy division at Cushman & Wakefield in Shanghai. The University of Western Ontario graduate has now been with C&W for over three years after joining from US IT services firm IBM. In her new role Chen works closely with Cushman’s head of research and consultancy for Greater China, James Shepherd, to oversee the division’s activities in eastern China.
Frost Huang has joined Danish design firm schmidt hammer lassen architects as Business Development Manager based in Shanghai. Huang joins schmidt hammer lassen from competitor MVRDV, where he spent one year as Business Development Manager. Prior to that stint the Zhejiang University graduate had spent more than three years with Australian design firm Woods Bagot, as well as serving stints with developers Hangzhou Westbrook and Greentown China.
Jessica Wang has joined JLL as Portfolio Leasing Manager based in Hong Kong. Wang takes on her new role this month after spending more than one year with competitor CBRE as a Leasing Officer for the company’s asset services department. The University of Hong Kong graduate also spent nearly one year with Colliers International where she served as a Marketing Officer in 2012 and 2013.
Matt Shapiro has been promoted to Senior Associate with the retail services department at Savills in Shanghai. Shapiro continues to serve as part of the China Retail Tenant Representation team for the UK-based property agency, and originally joined Savills in February 2014. The University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate also has experience working with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
