The CEO of Southeast Asia’s largest property developer leads this week’s roundup of people moves, with CapitaLand announcing that its top executive will be calling it quits at the end of the year. Also of note, a Paris-based resort operator has brought a project management veteran on board in Shanghai, and a Southeast Asian property website has welcomed a new HR head, so keep reading for all the particulars.

Lim Ming Yan, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Singapore-listed developer CapitaLand Group will retire on December 31 of this year, the company announced. Lim, who joined the group in 1996, will have served for more than 22 years, including a six-year tenure as president and Group CEO starting January 2013. Aged 55, Lim has also served as CEO of serviced residence unit The Ascott Group Ltd from 2009-2012, CEO of CapitaLand China Holdings Ltd from 2000-2009, and Chief Corporate and Investment Officer of Somerset Group (now Ascott) from 1997-1999. The company’s board of directors has accepted Lim’s retirement notice and he will retain his current roles until the end of the year, while working with the board to ensure a smooth transition. The company has not yet appointed a new CEO.

Richard Ong has joined European tourism firm Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs Group as Director of Project Management, based in Shanghai. The specialist in corporate real estate operations, project development and construction management focusses on the development of high-end villa and hotel resort projects, and previously worked for DTW Real Estate Development Co, where he was responsible for developments in Sanya, Hainan province. The 20-year industry veteran has also worked for firms including Compaq, Microsoft, and Altus Group in a variety of real estate roles.
