Global real estate consultancy JLL has named Paul Fisher as its new country head of Vietnam. Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Fisher will succeed Stephen Wyatt after the latter’s relocation to the UK.

Fisher will lead the firm across its commercial leasing, property asset management, project and development services, consulting and research, valuations and capital markets segments.

“Vietnam continues to be one of our key growth markets in Southeast Asia and we are excited to strengthen our leadership team by appointing someone of Paul’s calibre and experience,” said Chris Fossick, CEO for Singapore and Southeast Asia at JLL. “I’m confident that Paul’s addition will help to bring our Vietnam team to greater heights and deliver excellent service for our clients across the region.”

Strong Hand in Saigon

The leadership change is interpreted as the firm’s bid to enhance its business offerings. With 17 years of real estate experience, Fisher has held key positions in Europe and Asia across leasing, tenant representation and capital markets.

Fisher joined JLL in 2016. In his most recent role as senior director of tenant representation with the company’s Hong Kong office, the graduate of the UK’s University of Salford has worked with multinational corporations in advising on some of the most significant transactions in the Hong Kong market. He has also assumed the role of proptech lead for the company and sits on the Britcham real estate committee.

“It is certainly an exciting time to take on this role with the significant opportunity we are seeing in Vietnam’s real estate sector, which is coming increasingly into focus for our global clients,” Fisher said. “I’m very much looking forward to working with our local management teams to drive growth and expand our business, while continuing to deliver the highest standards of service for our clients.”

Before joining JLL, Fisher was head of corporate tenant representation at DTZ (now part of Cushman & Wakefield) in Hong Kong, prior to which he held posts in London and Frankfurt.
