Greater China Real Estate People in the News 2016-05-09

Those of us still waiting for news of China’s great collapse may have to wait at least one week longer as this latest edition of the new roles for the region’s real estate professionals finds both old hands and new kids landing new spots in China, Hong Kong and beyond. Read on for all the details.

danny gaoDanny Gao has now established Beijing HDJ Investment & Management Consulting where he serves as chief executive officer for the real estate advisory firm. Gao founded HDJ after previously serving for 18 months as Investment Director with private equity firm Red Trust Capital Management in China’s capital. The ten year veteran of China’s real estate industry also spent more than three years as a Business Development Manager for North China with industrial real estate giant Global Logistic Properties (GLP).

neville lamNeville Lam is now a Director with appraisal firm Duff and Phelps based in Shanghai. Lam takes on his role with the New York-based company after it acquired his former employer, American Appraisal China, where the University of Wisconsin graduate had served as Director of China Business Development for nearly ten years. Lam also has previous experience with HSBC and Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.

agnes cheungAgnes Cheung is now Director of Sales and Marketing for Residential at CapitaLand China, based in Shanghai. Cheung joins the Singaporean development giant after previously spending more than 21 years with property agency DTZ in Singapore, where she served most recently as Senior Sales Director. The graduate of Royal Agricultural University in the UK specialises in marketing high end luxury projects and will now be in charge of sales and marketing of Raffles City residential projects in eight cities across China.

christina mengChristina Meng has been promoted to Senior Director with Colliers International in Shanghai after more than six years as a Director with the property consultancy’s office leasing team in the city. Meng is now head of business park services, where she provides leasing consultancy for multinational and local occupiers looking for large-scale space and research and development centres in the greater Shanghai area.

hannah tseHannah Tse has been promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager with Knight Frank in Hong Kong, where she serves as part of the local team. Shi took a step up after spending two years as a portfolio manager with the UK-based property agency. The University of Hong Kong graduate joined Knight Frank in the city after previously spending more than six years with competitor JLL where she joined as a graduate trainee in 2008.

hannah tseHeidi Li has been promoted to Manager with Colliers International in Shanghai. Li has been recognised for all that hard work after spending just over one year as an assistant manager with the property consultancy. This is the fifth promotion for the graduate of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law since she joined Colliers as an intern in 2010. Li took on her first permanent position with the company in July 2011.

pam puPam Pu has been promoted to the rank of Manager with DTZ|Cushman & Wakefield in Beijing. This new role at the commercial real estate agency comes just one year after Pu was promoted to Assistant Manager with the New York-based firm. Pu has now spent just over three years with DTZ|C&W after joining as an Assistant Analyst in 2013, one year after completing her Master’s degree at Beijing’s Renmin University.
