This week one of China’s biggest cross-border investors appoints a new head of real estate deals, an award-winning developer redirects talent to a project on Shanghai’s North Bund, and more people on the move, as we shift into November. Read on for details.
Ping (Alex) Gong has taken over the role of President at Fosun Property Holdings, based in Shanghai. Gong was promoted to the top position at the property investment and management division of Guo Guangchang’s Fosun during October, after having first joined the firm in 2011. Prior to this latest move, the Fudan University graduate had served as Executive President for Overseas Business and Equity Investment at Fosun Property holdings. Gong also continues to serve as General Manager for Corporate Development for Fosun Group, in addition to his duties with the property division. Before joining Fosun, Gong spent two-and-a-half years with Samsung Global Strategy Group, and nearly three years with Standard Chartered bank.
Stephen Liu has taken over responsibility for a new project with the Chongbang Group, after being named General Manager for project management at the developer’s North Bund project. Liu took over the development of the mixed-use project in Shanghai’s Hongkou district after previously serving as General Manager of Chongbang’s Sinan Mansions project in Shanghai’s Huangpu district. Altogether, the graduate of Shanghai’s Tongji University has spent over 12 years with Chongbang.
Nick Huang has joined Swire Properties in Beijing as Assistant Director for portfolio management at the company’s TaikooLi Sanlitun Project. Huang comes on board with the Hong Kong-based developer after spending more than five years leasing space for the New World Group’s K11 project in Shanghai. The graduate of Beijing’s University of International Business and Economics also has previous leasing experience with Shui On Land.
Frank Wang is now Director of Marketing and Business Development at CJ Land, based in Shanghai. Wang joins the Hong Kong-listed mainland developer from the UCF Group, where he had spent the last 18 months as the real estate investment firm’s Area Director, also based in Shanghai. Wang also has previous experience with serviced office providers Regus and Compass, in Shanghai, Xiamen and Hong Kong.
