Colliers Adds James Hall to International Properties Team in Hong Kong

As cross-border apartment buying continues to gain favor among Asian investors, Colliers International has brought on board a new head of sales for its International Properties team in Hong Kong.

James Hall joins the global property consultancy in Hong Kong to oversee the launch of major sales campaigns for Colliers clients in the UK and Australia, as well as focussing on the expansion of its International Properties sales team. Hall will report directly to Ashley Osborne, Head of UK Residential and Managing Director of International Properties for Asia at Colliers.

“This senior appointment significantly enhances our service offering to our developer clients across the globe, and will give our business an added edge to maintain Colliers’ leadership position in marketing prime global residential investment properties to our Hong Kong buyers,” Osborne said.

Despite widespread concern over the potential long-term impact of the UK’s Brexit decision last year, investors in Hong Kong and mainland China continue to be attracted to the London property market. Many agencies selling UK homes in Hong Kong have reported an increase in interest from local buyers following the British pound’s post-Brexit slide in value against the Hong Kong dollar.

Hall should see a few familiar faces as he steps through the doors of the company’s Wanchai offices, having previously served as a Director of International Properties with Colliers from 2010 through 2012. Most recently, the 22-year industry veteran had served just under five years at CBRE in Hong Kong, leaving there late last year as Regional Director for International Properties.

Hall also has previous experience with Knight Frank and Christies Great Estates in Australia.
