China Real Estate People in the News 2014-12-29

2014/12/29 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

It may be the holiday season, but at least some of greater China’s real estate professionals have been keeping themselves busy finding new opportunities straight through the festivities. This week we have a Chinese insurance giant scooping up more talent, the ghost of Steve Jobs on the hiring trail in China, and more. Read on for details.

Kafkaa LeeKafkaa Lee has joined Ping An Real Estate as a manager with the state-owned Chinese insurer. Based in Shenzhen, Lee will take responsibility for asset management in southern China, as well as PAFC management. Prior to taking on his new responsibilities with Ping An, Lee had spent more than two and a half years with Cushman & Wakefield in Shenzhen, where he served as a manager with the property consultancy’s office leasing team.

Jing Wang is now Development Coordinator, Retail Real Estate and Development for Apple Inc, based in Hong Kong. Wang joins the US high tech giant after spending nearly five year with UK retailer Tesco, where she most recently served as a project coordinator with responsibility for opening new malls, including coordinating licensing issues, marketing strategy and other elements of new project development.

Peter Chan Peter Chan is now Managing Partner, China and Commercial Director, Greater China at Environmental Resources Management. Chan joins the provider of environmental, health and safety consulting after just eight months with consulting firm BCA Group, where he served as president. The graduate of Hong Kong’s Wah Yan College and the University of Manitoba, earlier spent more than 17 years with UK design and engineering consultancy, Scott Wilson.

Sissi GuSissi Gu has jumped to Wharf China as a leasing officer with the Hong Kong-based developer. Gu signs on with Wharf after spending more than four years with Colliers International in Shanghai, where she joined as part of the marketing team, and later became a office leasing broker. The graduate of Shanghai’s Jiaotong University previously worked in public relations before shifting to the real estate industry in 2010.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
