2014/12/22 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

In the last chance for new jobs before Christmas, Santa seems to have brought some nice new roles for a veteran asset manager, an office leasing queen and still more members of China’s real estate community. Read on for more details.

Ben Aiken JP MorganBen Aiken is now Managing Director, Client Strategy at JP Morgan Asset Management based in Singapore. Aiken’s new role comes after the US based financial giant acquired Aviva’s real estate business in Australia, Japan and Singapore. In all, JP Morgan Asset Management is taking on approximately 50 people from Aviva as part of the acquisition. Aiken had spent the previous two years with Aviva as Head of Business Development for Asia Pacific Real Estate.

Grace Chen CWGrace WJ Chen is now Director of Office Landlord Representation at Cushman & Wakefield in Shanghai. Chen, who has professional experience in Toronto and Kuala Lumpur, joins Cushman & Wakefield from Colliers International, where until recently she served as Director of Landlord Representation with the Office Services department of the property agency. Chen brings more than 14 years experience in commercial real estate to the Cushman & Wakefield team.

Fang Nie has been promoted to CFO for NASDAQ-listed developer China Housing & Land Development, Inc. Nie, who formerly served as the Xian-based residential and commercial builder’s Director of Finance, takes on her new role following the resignation of previous CFO, Cangsang Huang, who left his position for personal reasons, according to a statement from the company.

Kevin Liu SavillsKevin Liu has joined Savills in Beijing as a Director with the company’s property management division. Liu comes over to the UK-based real estate services team from rival CBRE, where he had spent the past six and a half years helping clients with lease management and asset management requirements in northern China. Liu is now the third director-level team member to leave CBRE China in the last month, following the November departures of Andy Wilianto and Angela Wu.

Jack Li SavillsJack Li has joined Blue Stone Management in Beijing as a Senior Project Manager. In his new role, the Harbin Institute of Technology graduate will be managing projects for retail clients in high-end shopping malls and boutique stores, after spending the last two years also working with retail clients for EC Harris in Shanghai. In all, Li now has more than 13 years project management experience and has worked in Shanghai, Tianjin, and Moscow during that period.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
