China Real Estate People in the News 2014-07-21

This week China’s real estate professionals continue to be on the move and on the way up, with two more promotions at JLL, and moves up at mall developer K11 as well as a new face with DTZ’s valuation department in Shanghai. Read on for more details.

Celina Wang China New TownCelina Wang has joined China Newtown Development as a Senior Manager, based in Beijing. The London School of Economics graduate joins the Singapore-listed developer from Beijing West Fund Management, where she had served as a Senior Investment Manager for the last two years. China Newtown was acquired earlier this year by China Development Bank and specialises in residential in the Beijing area.

Charles Ye JLL HotelsCharles Ye has been promoted to Vice President at JLL Hotels and Hospitality, after having successfully served as a Senior Associate with the hotel division of the property services firm for more three years. Based in Shanghai, Ye has been assisting the company’s clients with feasibility studies, hotel advisory and operator selection, since joining JLL in 2011 from the Marriott Hotel group. Ye served for more than four years with Marriott.

Joyce Ng is now Assistant General Manager for Leasing with K11 Concepts Ltd in Hong Kong. The new role is a promotion from her former rank of Senior Manager for Leasing with the retail division of New World Development Company Limited. Ng’s territory includes projects in both Hong Kong and mainland China, and in the past she has taken responsibility for leasing at Hong Kong K11 Art Mall Tsim Sha Tsui, Discovery Park Tsuen Wan, and Guangzhou K11 Art Mall.

Alice Yuan DTZAlice Yuan has joined DTZ as a Manager in the firm’s Valuation and Advisory Services Department based in Shanghai. Yuan joins the real estate services firm from RET Property Consultancy, where she had been responsible for project consultancy and positioning in the company’s retail services division for nearly a year and a half. Prior to joining RET, the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade graduate had spent more than two years with Cushman & Wakefield in Shanghai.

Susan Xu ShanSusan Xu Shan has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Manager with the research department of JLL based in Shanghai. This latest move up comes after Xu had spent one year with the global real estate consultancy as a Senior Analyst, and less than three years after the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics graduate joined the company. During this time, Xu has continually served in JLL’s research division.
