China Real Estate People in the News 2014-07-07

This week China’s real estate community sees another addition to the team at The Redwood Group, a flurry of promotions at JLL, and a new face at the property arm of one of China’s insurance giants. Read on for more details.

Grant ZhengGrant Zheng has been promoted to the rank of Vice President, and General Manager for Hefei and Zhengzhou with Global Logistic Properties (GLP). In his new role, Zheng is responsible for business development and operations management with the logistics real estate developer, where he formerly served as City General Manager for Hefei and Zhengzhou. Before joining GLP in 2010, Zheng had spent more than five years with Singaporean developer Ascendas.

Sean ZhangSean Zhang has joined The Redwood Group as Assistant Director of Business Development and Leasing with the logistics real estate developer and investor, based in Shanghai. Before taking on his new role with Redwood, Zhang had spent more than a year with Air Products and Chemicals as the company’s China real estate manager. The Tonji University graduate had also spent more than six years with the industrial and logistics services team at CBRE.

Yiyin ChiangYiYin Chiang has been promoted to Senior Manager with the Strategy Consulting team at real estate consultancy JLL’s Wuhan office. The four year JLL veteran was bumped up from Manager after successfully completing projects including a planning recommendation on the Wuhan airport economic zone, and a report on the Wuchang financial industry development.

Zhuochun Gao has joined Ping An Real Estate as an Asset Manager, based in Shanghai. Gao took up his new position with the property arm of the Chinese insurance giant after spending more than a year and a half at Poly Property (Shanghai) Investment Management. The University of New South Wales graduate also is a veteran of real estate services firm DTZ, having spent more than two years there as a Marketing Executive before joining Poly.

Donny TseDonny Tse has been promoted to the rank of Manager with the Corporate Solutions team with Colliers International in Hong Kong. The University of Melbourne graduate has been with Colliers since 2011, having joined the real estate services provider from Sunmate Development Ltd where he served as Operations Manager. Tse also has experience as a Property Officer with Savills.

Candy Jiang JLLCandy Jiang has been promoted to Senior Manager with JLL in Guangzhou. Jiang has now served with the property agency since 2009, after joining the US-based company as an Executive Assistant. In her new role, the Chinese University of Hong Kong graduate will be involved in real estate development planning, as well as tenant representation services. Before coming on board with JLL, Jiang had also served with PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
