Leading today’s people moves, a top executive at CPPIB upgrades her title at the global investment giant with a significant Asian real estate portfolio. A plethora of agency pros are updating their name cards, with a CBRE exec in India taking the reins as general manager and leasing and sales specialist jumping to Savills in China. And a Hong Kong-listed developer has been ramping up its British team, so keep reading for all the details.

Suyi Kim has been promoted to Senior Managing Director & Head of Asia Pacific at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), based in Hong Kong, in which role she oversees the growing Asian investment portfolio of the $268 billion pension giant. Kim was appointed Managing Director, Head of Asia in mid-2016. Through the recently announced move, the executive becomes part of the Senior Management Team of CPPIB, with increased global leadership responsibilities. Kim joined the Toronto-headquartered firm in 2006 and set up CPPIB’s office in Hong Kong, after which she launched and led the company’s Private Equity Asia business. She has more than 15 years of private equity investment experience, including previous roles at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and The Carlyle Group.

Arnav Paitandy has been promoted from Deputy General Manager to General Manager of CBRE in Gurgaon, India this month. He joined the property consultancy in 2010 as a business development coordinator in New Delhi.
