As we wind up August, school holidays are over and we are able to see a numbers and charts guy finding a new home in Singapore with Savills Investment Management, a Trojan grabbing a seat next to the CEO of one of China’s biggest developers and new agency leadership in Beijing and Hong Kong. Read on for all the details on who got the job you always wanted.

Benedict Lai Savills IMBenedict Lai has joined Savills Investment Management as a Research Manager, based in Singapore, according to an announcement by the company. Lai joined the investment management affiliate of London-based Savills this month after four years with competitor PGIM and its predecessor Pramerica Real Estate Investors. Lai’s hire comes as Savills IM builds up its team in the region after bringing Volker Wanka in early this year as Director of Fund Management. In his new role Lai will report directly to Kiran Patel, Savills IM’s UK-based Chief Investment Officer.

demi zhu Knight FrankDemi Zhu has joined Knight Frank in Beijing as a Director with the international property consultancy, where she now serves as Head of Office Services, according to her LinkedIn profile. Zhu joins Knight Frank after serving over a year as Operations Director with developer China Vanke in Beijing. The graduate of Beijing Forestry University also has experience with agencies Cushman & Wakefield and Savills.

zhi li China VankeZhi Li is now Assistant to the CEO with development heavyweight China Vanke, based in Shenzhen. Li took on his new responsibilities last month after serving more than two years as an Investment Manager. Before joining Vanke in 2015, Li, who holds dual Master’s degrees from University of Southern California in Economics and Urban Planning, worked in various internship roles in both the private and public sectors in the US and China.

frank ma ColliersFrank Ma has joined Colliers International in Hong Kong as Head of PRC Business in the company’s Office Services division. According to his LinkedIn profile, Ma took on his new role with the international property consultancy after more than four years with competitor JLL in West China where the graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong served most recently as head of research in the region.

john xuJohn Xu has been promoted to Manager with JLL in Shanghai, according to his LinkedIn profile. The step up is the latest for Xu, who originally joined JLL in 2012 as an analyst. During more than five years with the international property consultancy the graduate of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics has worked his way up the ranks at JLL, serving as an Assistant Manager for one year before receiving this latest promotion.

jamie xuJamie Xu has joined London-base real estate development and investment firm Euroterra Capital as Business Development and Sales Manager based in Shanghai. Xu signed up with the high-end residential specialists after working just under a year as an International Sales Manager with mainland property agency Lianjia, where he specialised in marketing London residential development projects to local buyers.
