Asia Real Estate People in the News 2017-04-17

This week’s biggest moves among Asia’s community of real estate professionals start out with one of China’s biggest financial groups hired a new head of investment, while an international hospitality group promotes one of its top hotel hunters. Read on for all the details.

ma yifeiMa Yifei has joined CITIC Xinbang Asset Management as Chief Investment Officer, based in Beijing. The London School of Economics graduate comes to the asset management division of the state-run investment giant after serving five years at insurance industry leader China Life in its investment division. The eight-year veteran of the mainland finance and real estate industries also has experience with CBRE and with CITIC Securities.

howard heHoward He has been promoted to Senior Director for Development with IHG Greater China, based in Shanghai. He took his step up at the hospitality group best known through its Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental brands after spending more than five years with the company as Director for Development. The MBA-holder from Shanghai’s Fudan University also has experience with design and engineering firm Atkins in Shanghai.

sebastian jessopSebastian Jessop has been promoted to Associate Director with the Tenant Advisory Group at Cushman & Wakefield in Hong Kong. Jessop moved into his new role at the merged DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield operation after more than three years with the tenant-focused division of the office leasing team as a Senior Manager. The graduate of Nottingham-Trent University in the UK also has previous experience at residential properties brokerage IP Global.

rob wilkinsonRob Wilkinson has been promoted to Associate Director with the Corporate Solutions team at Colliers International in Hong Kong. Wilkinson earned his new name card after serving for nearly two years with the international property consultancy’s corporate client service division in the same city, and has now been with Colliers in Hong Kong since 2011. The University of Nottingham graduate has been with the Corporate Solutions team throughout his nearly six years with the company.

iris chuIris Chu has been promoted to Manager with Cushman & Wakefield Greater China, based in Hong Kong. The graduate of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s School of Business and Management received her promotion at the international property consultancy after serving as a negotiator for two years. Prior to joining C&W in 2014, Chu had experience in sales with the Madison Group Asia.

stanley yuStanley Yu has been promoted to Manager with the Industrial and Logistics Services team at CBRE in Hong Kong. Yu got the nod for the mid-level role after spending more than four years providing leasing, sales and consulting services with the property agency’s industrial team for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. Yu originally joined CBRE in 2010 as a Business Systems Officer, and switched to brokerage in 2013.
