Asia Real Estate People in the News 2017-03-27

Everyone’s got their own opinion on how co-working should fit into the market, but so far this year it at least looks like a great career path, as more of the region’s real estate professionals find new roles in the world of flexible offices. This week, while a flock of brokers switched positions across the mainland, and former office agent works himself into a director role with a major regional developer – after spending a few years in the serviced office world. Read on for all the details on this move and more.

matthew chisholmMatthew Chisholm has joined Ascendas-Singbridge in Singapore as Director of Flexible Workspace with the well-known developer. According to an update on Chisholm’s LinkedIn profile, the one-time CBRE and Colliers office broker is now working with Ascendas-Singbridge’s team “to develop an innovative flexible workplace platform across the Asia Pacific Region.” Before joining Ascendas-Singbridge, Chisholm had served as Managing Director for Asia with flexible office provider Arcc Holdings.

aaron liAaron Li has joined Cushman & Wakefield as Head of Office Agency for North China, based in Beijing. Li comes to the international property consultancy from rival CBRE, where he had spent more than five years working with the landlord representation unit of the company’s Office Services team. The graduate of Dalian Nationalities University and Beijing’s Renmin University also has experience with Colliers International in Beijing.

ken yangKen Yang has flown off to Australia, where he’s now employed by China’s Yifang Group as a Project Manager, based in Sydney. Yang headed down under after two and a half years with Cushman & Wakefield in Beijing, where he served most recently as a Senior Director with the Project Management team. The University of New South Wales graduate also has experience with JLL in Beijing, and with Savills in Sydney.

vincent tingVincent Ting has joined Hong Kong development giant Wharf as a Deputy Leasing Controller at its Wharf China Estates subsidiary. In his new role, the graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong is responsible for office leasing for Wharf’s Shanghai Wheelock Square, Suzhou IFS and Wuxi IFS projects. Before joining Wharf this month, Ting had spent seven years with Henderson Land Development in Shanghai.

Rice Li JLLRice Li has been promoted to Assistant Manager with the Markets team at JLL in Shanghai. The graduate of Shanghai Normal University will be specialising in leasing deals within the red hot Pudong office market for the international property consultancy, after previously serving at JLL for more than two years as a Senior Analyst. Li, who is said to take her English name from one of her favorite foods, also has previous experience with CBRE in Shanghai.

nicole liNicole Li has joined Cushman & Wakefield in Suzhou, Jiangsu as a Manager with the international property consultancy. Li’s responsibilities with C&W include business development and customer relationship management for the agency’s clients in the city. Prior to taking on this latest role, the graduate of Yangtze University in Wuhan province had served four years with serviced office provider Regus, first in Ningbo, and later in Wuxi.
