Mr. Gupta will be based in the Hong Kong private equity firm’s soon-to-be opened New York City office and is responsible for US investments for the firm. The company indicated that Ashish will focus on projects located on the east coast and other select knowledge and innovation-based markets such as Austin, Texas.

Most recently, Mr. Gupta was a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, the US investment bank that closed in 2008.
