This week China’s real estate community sees an agency veteran become the new head of Colliers’ industrial department nationwide, JLL appointing a new head of research for northern China, and new leadership for CBRE’s office services division in Shanghai. Read on for details….
Tammy Tang has joined real estate services firm Colliers International as Head of Industrial for China, where she will have top responsibility for the company’s services for manufacturing and logistics space nationwide. Tang, who had formerly served with JLL, comes Colliers after spending more than one year at a senior leadership level with Beijing-based data centre developer GDS.
Steven McCord has been promoted to Head of Research, North China at JLL, and is now based in Beijing. The China real estate research veteran continues to direct the company’s retail real estate research activities at a national level as well. McCord has now been with the property consultancy in China since 2006.
Sean Lim has expanded his role with CBRE China to become director of the property services firm’s Office Services division for eastern China, taking charge of services for office landlords and tenants in the Yangzte River Delta region. Lim, who will continue to serve as CBRE’s National Head of Landlord Agency, is also relocating from Beijing to Shanghai to take on this new level of responsibility.
Stefanie Zou has left her role as a Senior Manager with JLL in Tianjin to join China’s largest construction company as Head of the Marketing and Operations Department. Zou took on her new role with China State Construction Engineering Corp (CSCEC) last month, after more than 7 years with JLL in Tianjin.
Peiran Tang has moved from CapitaMall Asia, where she worked as a Management Associate, to sister-company, CapitaMalls Fund Management Pte. Ltd, and is now an Executive with the Singaporean fund manager. Formerly based in Beijing, Tang’s new role also relocates the graduate of the Central University for Nationalities to Singapore.
Meng Wu has moved to Singaporean developer Ascendas, where she is taking on the role of Assistant Manager and is assisting in the company’s acquisition and development efforts while based in their Shanghai office. Meng joins Ascendas from developer Shui On Land, where she had spent nearly four years working with underwriting, project disposal, partnership development, and strategy for the Hong Kong-listed firm.
Yan Liang has joined Starbucks as a Store Development Analyst based in Shanghai. Liang comes to the gourmet coffee retailer following a three year stint as an analyst with real estate consultancy ECommercial China. Earlier, Liang had served with The Walt Disney Co in Florida, while pursuing further studies in the US at Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Gary Li has taken on the role of Project Surveyor (Estate) at the Lands Department in Hong Kong. Li joins the government bureau, which administers land in the Special Administrative Region after spending 5 months with property consultancy JLL. Li who is trained as a valuer, is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Carla Wang has joined property consultancy DTZ as the company’s Legal Director for North Asia, based in Beijing. Wang heads DTZ’s Legal & Compliance Department in North Asia after spending nearly three years as legal counsel with competitor CBRE.
