This week in Asia’s world of real estate professionals, a former board member of one of China’s largest developers may be taking the reins at a Fujian-based home builder, and a top agency number cruncher will be leading Her Majesty’s business service in Beijing. Former Country Garden Co-President and Executive Director Zhu Rongbin is said to be joining Sunshine City Group as the new Executive Chairman of the Shenzhen-listed developer, according to local media accounts. Zhu resigned from his positions at Country Garden in May, and officially handed over his responsibilities on the first of this month after more than three years with the company. Zhu also has prior experience with China Overseas Land & Investment and Guangzhou R&F Properties.
Nicholas Holt, Head of Research for Asia Pacific at Knight Frank, has taken on the role of Chairman at the British Chamber of Commerce in China, in addition to his professional responsibilities. Holt takes the helm of the British business group after serving on Britcham’s Executive Committee in Beijing. The graduate of the London School of Economics also serves as the Vice Chair of the China British Business Council.
Renpu (Jason) Liu has joined CBRE in Beijing as an Associate Director. Liu comes to the real estate agency’s team after nearly six years with Colliers International in the Chinese capital, where he served most recently as a Senior Manager. Liu holds a Master’s Degree in statistics from Auburn University in the US, in addition to his bachelor’s degree in information and computer science from the China University of Mining and Technology in Beijing.
Ella Xu has signed up with Savills Residence in Shanghai as Senior Manager for Operations with the service provider. In her new role Xu is responsible for the operation of three properties in mainland China, as well as consulting on the operation of two additional assets. Xu comes to the UK-based consultancy after a brief stint with Yoland International Serviced Apartments and previously spent more than three years with serviced apartment operator Shama Luxe.
Todd Huang has been promoted to Senior Negotiator with CBRE in Beijing. Huang moves up in the company’s Advisory & Transaction Services team after a year as a Negotiator in the same department. The graduate of National Taipei University is now part of the leasing agency team at the Emperor Group Center in Beijing, and also had previous experience with Cushman & Wakefield in Taiwan before joining CBRE in Beijing in 2015.
Li Shanshan has joined CBRE in Guangzhou as a Senior Sales Negotiator. Li takes on her new responsibilities with the real estate agency after serving nearly half a year with fund manager Shanghai Shunyan Fund in the capital of Guangdong province. The graduate of Hunan Nomal University and jazz aficionado also has previous experience with medical products manufacturer Guangzhou Newkeli Biotech.
