Craig Pearce of Savills Investment Management

Savills Investment Management, the international property investment arm of London’s Savills real estate group announced this week that Craig Pearce has joined its Hong Kong-based team as Head of Asset Management, Asia.

Pearce, who formerly served as Head of Asset Management for Greater China and Southeast Asia for Morgan Stanley Real Estate will report to Savills Investment Management’s regional Managing Director, Choy-Soon Chua.

Kiran Patel, Chief Investment Officer at Savills IM, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Craig to the firm. He has substantial experience in many of our core sectors across Asia and will add strength and depth to the team.”

In his new role, Pearce will be responsible for expanding Savills IM’s Asian platform, with primary responsibility for management of the firm’s property assets in Hong Kong and China. In addition, Pearce will share oversight of assets across Asia with Singapore-based Savills IM executive Yew-Hock Tan.

Prior to joining Savills, Craig spent seven years at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investment in Hong Kong where he was an Executive Director and oversaw the asset management of an extensive portfolio of institutional-grade real estate investments in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Prior to that he was an Asset Manager with Goldman Sachs’ Realty based in Tokyo and managed assets in Japan, China and Singapore. Craig started his career in the Overseas Property Division of Mori Building, based in Shanghai and Tokyo.

After the merger the combined company’s assets in Asia Pacific are said to include properties in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China.
