Real estate service provider Cushman & Wakefield continues to expand their management team in mainland China, and this week named Billy Lo as General Manager of the company’s Beijing office.
Lo will head the US-based company’s Beijing business after previously running competitor JLL’s residential business in China. Prior to Lo’s appointment, the top position for Cushman in Beijing had been vacant since the beginning of this year.
Commenting on the new hire, Jonathan Davis, Managing Director for China at Cushman & Wakefield said, “We are delighted to have Billy joining us in Beijing. Billy is a valuable addition to our China leadership team, and his experience in working with numerous high-profile clients will serve us well as we further strengthen our platform and grow our presence in China.”
Since joining the property agency last year, Davis has been hard at work recruiting new talent to run its office, retail and other divisions. The former Morgan Stanley exec has already hired new heads of office leasing, retail services, HR and research during his tenure. Davis himself was promoted earlier this year from his original role of Managing Director for Eastern China, to take responsibility for the company’s operations across China.
Lo joins Cushman having already spent over 30 years in Greater China’s real estate industry, having most recently served as national head of residential for China at rival agency JLL. Lo also has experience working for property developers.
