Real estate service provider Cushman & Wakefield continued to build up its investment services division in China recently as Eric Schaffer rejoined the team’s eastern China operation.
Schaffer came on board late last month as an Associate Director, with the company’s Investment & Capital Markets department based in Shanghai. At Cushman & Wakefield, the five year veteran of China’s real estate investment scene will focus on advising the firm’s investment clients on the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial assets in China and abroad.
Jonathan Davis, Managing Director of Cushman’s China operations, said of the new hire, “Eric’s return represents our further commitment to grow our business in the region. He had a successful run during his first tenure with C&W and we look forward to more wins in the future.”
This is Schaffer’s second tour with the privately held real estate service provider, and he will be reporting to fellow returnee Mark Suchy, who came back to Cushman & Wakefield during July to head the company’s capital markets department for eastern China.
Before his return to Cushman, Schaffer had served as Associate Director for Investment at boutique private equity firm Paragon Partners Asia.
