Colliers Picks CBRE Exec as New COO for Asia

Real estate consultancy Colliers International announced yesterday that industry veteran Paul Baxter will join the firm as Chief Operating Officer for Asia as of 2 June, 2014. According to a statement from Colliers, Baxter will be tasked with managing the company’s operations and strategic initiatives in the region.

“We are extremely excited to add Paul’s expertise to the organisation as we continue to accelerate our growth through strategic recruitment,” says Piers Brunner, Chief Executive Officer, Asia at Colliers International. “With his extensive background in Asset Services, Commercial Leasing and Corporate Services and long history of successful process management, Paul is well-suited to help lead our Asia-based expansion efforts.”

Baxter has spent more than 15 years in the real estate industry, and previously worked with Colliers in Australia and Singapore, where he was part of the company’s corporate solutions team. Most recently, Baxter served as Executive Director for Global Corporate Services with CBRE Japan.

As the comapny’s Chief Operating Officer, Baxter will take charge of shared services in the Asia region including Research and Advisory, Marketing and Communications, Human Resources/Administration and Information Technology. “I view my role as continuing to improve our operating fundamentals, and accelerating our transformation into the world’s leading integrated real estate services provider,” Baxter commented.

Baxter will be relocating from Tokyo to Hong Kong to take on this new role.
