This week China’s community of real estate professionals is treated to another senior level executive departing CBRE, new leadership for the country’s car parks, and fresh hires at Goodman and JLL.
Nick Jones has left his role with property consultancy CBRE, the latest in a series of senior executives to depart as the world’s largest real estate services company continues to search for a path to profitability after more than 20 years in China. Jones, whose title was Executive Director – Agency & Transaction Services, was responsible for the company’s office leasing teams and has not announced a new role. CBRE has yet to make known a replacement for Jones, whose last day with the firm was February 28th.
James Blythman is now Chief Operating Officer at parking solution provider Secure Parking China, based in Shanghai. Prior to joining Secure Parking, Blythman served in a variety of roles with Australian building materials provider Xella, most recently as a strategic planning manager for the company’s operations in China.
Roxanne (Mengjing) Ni is now an Investment Analyst at with Goodman in Shanghai. In her new role, Ni undertakes financial analysis on investment and land development projects in China to identify opportunities for the Australian developer. Prior to joining Goodman, Ni was a Manager with the Strategic Consulting division at JLL, serving nearly four years at the property consultancy.
Vivianne Liu is now a Manager with the International Residential department at JLL in Shanghai. In her new role, Liu is charged with marketing investment opportunities in international properties to potential buyers in China. Before joining JLL, Liu was the General Manager of Regus’ serviced office facility at the BEA Finance Tower.
Wo Wang is now an Associate at private-equity firm JWF Capital in New York. Having recently completed here Masters of Science in Real Estate Development at Columbia University in the City of New York, Wang previously worked at property consultancy DTZ in Shanghai, as well as having served with KPMG in China.
