A promotion at Nuveen Real Estate’s Asia Pacific Cities Fund, a new multifamily investment platform launched by a Macquarie Capital veteran, and a Korea National Pension Service portfolio manager rotating to New York lead this week’s look at personnel moves across Asia Pacific’s real estate industry. Fresh hires at Barings, Bridge Data Centres and Lanson Place and a Savills retail leadership restructure also make our list.
Alan Wong has been promoted to managing director at Nuveen Real Estate, the real estate arm of TIAA, according to his LinkedIn profile. Based in Hong Kong, Wong has been with Nuveen for eight years and is responsible for its Asia Pacific Cities Fund, which invests across Japan, South Korea and Australia in multifamily, logistics and office. Wong is taking the step up from senior director some eight years after joining the company from Invesco Real Estate in Hong Kong and also has previous experience at Hopewell Holdings.
Keith Chan has founded Altudi Capital, a vertically integrated alternative investment management firm focused on the multifamily and living sector, according to a LinkedIn update. Chan has set up his own shop after seven years as chief executive of Funlive, the multifamily venture of Hong Kong-listed China SCE Group. He also has previous experience at Macquarie Capital, where he spent nearly a decade as head of real estate for Greater China before becoming co-head of the Australian financial firm’s overall Greater China business in 2016.
Eunbi Jeon has transferred to the New York office of Korea National Pension Service as portfolio manager, effective May 2026, according to her LinkedIn profile. Jeon, who continues to serve as a portfolio manager, has been with NPS for nearly five years based at its global headquarters in Jeonju, South Korea. Before NPS she spent five years as a manager at Seoul-based IGIS Asset Management.
Sharneel Narain has joined Barings as director for portfolio management in Australia, according to a LinkedIn post. Narain spent eight years across Logos Group and ESR, most recently as fund manager at ESR following its acquisition of Logos. He also has previous experience at AMP Capital, where he held senior fund analyst and senior accountant roles.
Rachel Yuan has joined Bridge Data Centres as director of corporate development, based in Singapore, according to a LinkedIn update. Yuan joins the Southeast Asia-focused hyperscale data centre operator from CPP Investments, where she spent five years in real estate investments in Hong Kong. Before CPP Investments Yuan held real estate roles at Allianz Real Estate in Singapore and also has previous experience at Société Générale and Macquarie Group.
Alisdair Lee has been promoted to vice president for investments at Hong Kong-based real estate private equity firm Phoenix Property Investors, according to a LinkedIn update. Lee has been with Phoenix for six years, focusing on APAC real estate debt and equity investments across Hong Kong and Australia, as he progressed from associate through manager before his current promotion. Before Phoenix he spent three years as a private equity associate at Oriental Patron.
Savills has made two leadership changes to its Asia Pacific retail platform, according to an announcement by the firm. Nick Bradstreet, who spent 29 years based in Hong Kong before relocating to the UK, has been appointed vice chairman, Asia Pacific retail, stepping back from his responsibilities as the firm’s head of Asia Pacific retail . Joey Chio, who has worked alongside Bradstreet for 15 years, expands his role to become head of retail for Asia Pacific and China alongside his existing position as managing director and head of advisory and transaction for China.
Louis Chang has been appointed chief operating officer of Lanson Place Hospitality Management, effective April 2026, according to a statement by the company. Chang brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to the role, joining from New World Development where he spent six years as deputy owner’s representative for the hotel division. He also has previous experience as operations controller for North Asia at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and as area director of finance at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Lanson Place operates serviced residences and hotels across Hong Kong, China, Southeast Asia and Australia.
