Angel Li, Founding Partner, Avatar Capital Partners

Angel Li is the Founding Partner of Avatar Capital Partners, where she leads the firm’s investment strategy across private equity real estate and special situations in the Asia Pacific.

With over two decades of experience, Angel has held senior leadership roles at top-tier institutions, including serving as Head of Asia at Macquarie Asset Management Real Estate and Investment Committee Member of its Global Real Estate Fund.

Prior to Macquarie, Angel was Head of Portfolio Management and Investment Committee Member at CLSA Real Estate, where she originated and managed over US$4.5 billion in real estate investments across the region, including US$1.2 billion in Japan.

Angel began her career at Merrill Lynch’s Global Principal Investments Group, focusing on special situations and event-driven strategies, including distressed debt, private credit and non-performing loans throughout Asia.
