With Mingtiandi’s inaugural Japan event just one week away, executives from JP Morgan Asset Management, EQT Exeter and Gaw Capital Partners have joined the growing list of industry leaders signed up to attend the gathering.

More than 200 senior executives have now signed up for the Mingtiandi Tokyo Forum, which takes place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Tuesday, 12 November.

The attendees are set to hear from 35 speakers with top executives from Norges Bank Investment Management, ESR and Dash Living having joined the roster within the past week.

Tickets for the forum are still available at the link above, and Mingtiandi readers unable to join the event in Tokyo will be able to see the opening sessions of the full day event streamed live on MTD TV, which is sponsored by Yardi. A sample list of major companies sending delegates to the forum can be found at the end of this article.

New Faces in Keynote, Industrial, Residential

Joining the keynote panel which will kick off the forum is Taiyo Taimi, head of Asia unlisted real estate with Norges Bank Investment Management, as the session takes a look at the biggest issues facing investors in real estate markets in Japan and beyond.

Also in the keynote panel are Bryan Southergill, a partner with Ares Management who serves as the firm’s head of Asia Real Estate; Hajime Watanabe, president and representative director with UBS Japan Advisors and Laurent Jacquemin, head of Asia Pacific for the real assets division of AXA IM Alts.

Also joining the programme this past week was Pierre-Alexandre Humblot, a managing director with the fund management and capital division of ESR, who will be joining the panel on industrial investment in Japan.

Other speakers in the shed session will be Tetsuya Fujita, managing director and country manager for Japan at CBRE Investment Management; Unified Industrial co-founder Ross Antoci and Joseph Gagnon, co-head of real estate investment manager Rava Partners.

New to the residential panel is Aaron Lee, founder and chief executive of Dash Living, as the session dives into one of Japan’s most sought-after real estate asset classes.

Lee, whose company announced a joint Tokyo acquisition with BlackRock in July, will be joined on stage by Abrdn head of Japan real estate Harumi Kadono and Chedli Boujellabia, managing partner and CEO of Alyssa Partners.

Japan in the Spotlight

With the Tokyo Forum also set to feature interviews with top leaders from Deloitte Tohmatsu, Warburg Pincus, ESR and GLP Capital Partners, the event will bring attendees first-hand insights into one of Asia’s largest and most active real estate investment markets.

As Japan takes centre stage in Asia real estate investment, the turnout for the forum is set to bring more global institutional property investors to Tokyo than any other event this year.

In addition to the senior executives from JP Morgan, EQT and Gaw Capital, other leading companies sending delegates to the gathering include Japan Development Bank, Mizuho Bank, Mitsui & Co, Patrizia, Savills Investment Management and JR East.

Tickets to the event are still available at the link above and more complete list of the attendees can be found below.
