A top leadership change at a Hong Kong-listed developer leads Mingtiandi’s collection of personnel news from around the region this week, as the former President of Guangzhou’s Hopson Development finds a new corporate home in Fujian province. Also making a move into a new role is a regional real estate finance executive in Hong Kong, while one of the top brokerages introduces a new head of facility management in Singapore. Keep reading for all the details on people moves from around Asia’s property world.

feng jinyi SanshengFormer Hopson Development Holdings President Feng Jinyi has joined Hong Kong-listed Sansheng Holdings as the developer’s new president, according to local media reports. Feng joins the Fuzhou-based developer after less than one year with Hopson, having joined the Guangzhou firm in June of last year. Feng also has experience with Hangzhou’s Greentown China Holdings, where he served as President from 2015 through last year, and was an executive with Longfor Properties from 2008 to 2015.

mark li sino-ocean capitalMark Li is now a Director with Sino-Ocean Capital in Hong Kong, where he is responsible for raising private equity funds for the real estate investment division of Beijing-based Sino-Ocean Group. Li began working with global institutional investors on behalf of his new firm this month after spending all of 2018 with Country Garden Asset Management based in the city. The University of Toronto graduate also has previous experience working with ICBC International, Harvest Real Estate Investments and Harvest Capital Partners.

Cameron Ahrens CushmanCushman & Wakefield announced last week that it had brought on board Brookfield and CBRE executive Cameron Ahrens as its Head of Integrated Facilities Managment for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Ahrens is joining the property consultancy after a stint as Head of Facilities Management for Asia at Brookfield Global Integrated Services, the real estate services unit of Canada’s Brookfield. Before joining BGIS in 2018, Ahrens spent six years leading CBRE’s enterprise facility management business from Singapore, and also spent more than five years with JLL in the city.

siva krishnan JLLJLL has appointed Siva Krishnan as Managing Director of its Chennai office, as the company puts in place a new leadership team in the south Indian city. Krishnan, who joined JLL last year from CBRE, had been heading his new employer’s residential services, developer solutions and strategic consulting business before taking on this new role, according to local media reports. The property consultancy also introduced Kanchana Krishnan as Head of Markets and Retail for Chennai and Jerry Kingsley as Head of Capital Markets for South India and Country Head for Sri Lanka.

linh tran jllLinh Tran has been promoted to Director with the Capital Markets team at JLL in Singapore, according to an update to her LinkedIn profile. The Chartered Financial Analyst spent just six months as a Manager with the investment brokerage division of the property consultancy before taking this latest step up, and has now been with JLL since graduating from National University of Singapore in 2013.

michael robertsn savillsMichael Roberts is now with Savills Hotels in Singapore as Director for Asia Pacific at the hospitality division of the UK property services firm. Roberts comes to his new role after serving most recently as Manager for Real Estate at SHS Capital in the city, where he spent just over a year after serving a half-decade stint with the Capital Markets team at CBRE in Singapore before departing as a Manager in June 2017.
