Akira Kosugi is a Managing Director for Greystar Asia-Pacific, leading the establishment and growth of the company’s rental housing platform in Japan. His key responsibilities include implementing and advancing the firm’s investment objectives in Japan with an initial focus on multifamily acquisition strategies in Tokyo and Osaka.
Akira has been active in the real estate investment industry for more than 20 years, with experience across multiple asset classes globally. Prior to joining Greystar in 2019, Akira served as Managing Principal of Westbrook Japan in Tokyo.
Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Blackstone, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Grove International Partners. Akira holds a bachelor of science degree in Finance from Fordham University.
