Speaker Bio: Diarmid Massey of ESR MTD TV Productions

As CEO of the Data Centres business, Diarmid leads the strategy and growth of ESR’s platform across key cities in Asia Pacific. In this role, he oversees all aspects of the business – identifying and evaluating investment and market opportunities, managing and executing deal structures, and developing industry-leading, sustainable data centre solutions for regional operators and hyperscalers.

Prior to joining ESR, Diarmid was Senior Vice President, Sales, Asia Pacific for Equinix, where he was responsible for the P&L of the Asia Pacific-wide business. He played a key role on the company’s investment team, strategising regional expansion, entering new markets, and integrating strategic acquisitions.

Earlier in his career, Diarmid was instrumental in establishing Vodafone Carrier Services globally, consolidating operating units and partners in Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific. He also built and scaled the Asia businesses for three U.S. high-tech start-ups – Atlas, ITXC, and NexTone.

With over 35 years of international experience, Diarmid has lived and worked in London, Wellington, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. He has been on the boards of corporate regional subsidiaries and joint ventures, and has a proven track record of driving successful M&A across the region.
