New appointments at a pair of Singapore-listed industrial REITs lead Mingtiandi’s roundup of personnel moves this week with Mapletree Industrial Trust naming a new independent, non-executive director and ESR-Logos REIT annointing a new chief financial officer. There are also new hires and promotions at ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, Ronshine China Holdings and more.

Cheah Kim Teck MapletreeJardine Cycle & Carriage director Cheah Kim Teck has been appointed to the board of Mapletree Industrial Trust as a non-executive director with the REIT’s manager, according to an announcement to the Singapore stock exchange. Now 62, Cheah took up his role on 20 August and has served as a non-executive director of the REIT’s sponsor, Mapletree Investments since 2013. At Cycle & Carriage Cheah serves as director of business development.

The manager of ESR-Logos REIT announced on 12 August that it has appointed Don Kok Chew Meng as chief financial officer of the industrial-focused real estate investment trust. Now 43, Kok started his new role as the top finance executive with the Singapore-listed REIT’s manager on 15 August after previously serving as financial controller. ESR-Logos REIT began trading on the SGX in May following the merger of ESR-REIT with ARA Logos REIT after ESR’s buyout of ARA Asset Management.

Michael Tanujaya ST TelemediaMichael Tanujaya this month joined ST Telemedia Global Data Centres in Singapore as head of strategy, according to a LinkedIn update. Tanujaya started into his new job after relocating to Singapore from Hong Kong, where he had previously served for more than six years with Canadian pension fund manager CPP Investments. With previous experience at Lendlease in Singapore and Japan, Tanujaya had worked most recently as a director focused on real estate investments in Southeast Asia with CPPIB.

Wu Jianxing RonshineMainland developer Ronshine China Holdings announced on 15 August that Wu Jianxing has joined its board as an executive director from that same day. Now 30, Wu currently serves as assistant to Ronshine chairman Ou Zonghong. On the same day that Wu was named an executive director, He Jiarong, an accountant and former executive with developers Yuzhou Group, Logan Property and Powerlong joined Ronshine’s board as an independent, non-executive director.

Yupa CWProperty consultancy Cushman & Wakefield is building up its team in Bangkok, Thailand and has hired Yupa Sathienpabayut as head of transactions. An experienced commercial broker, Sathienpabayut joined Cushman & Wakefield this month after more than 13 years with rival brokerage firm JLL, where she had served most recently as a senior director and head of office leasing, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Kitty Cheung ColliersColliers announced on 16 August that it has named Kitty Cheung as a senior director with its industrial services team in Hong Kong. At Colliers, Cheung will report to the property consultancy’s head of industrial services, Bill Chan who rejoined the firm in April of this year. Before taking on her new role this month Cheung had served for 13 years at local brokerage Centaline Property Agency.

Aurecon_Olivier PetitEngineering consultancy Aurecon said on 15 August that it has hired Dr Olivier Petit as managing director for growth and strategy, effective from 12 August. Based in Hong Kong, Petit now reports directly to Stephane Asselin, the firm’s chief executive for Asia as he leads initiatives including Aurecon’s expansion into new geographies and business lines. Prior to taking on the new role, Petit had served as strategic initiative director for Asia Pacific at construction engineering firm Egis.
