Co-working leads this week’s roundup of people moves, with an executive taking charge of regional sales for one of China’s leading shared office brands. A global private equity firm with exposure to the Asian property sector has just named a new top executive for its team in the region. And an international brokerage is saying goodbye to the managing director of its Taiwan office. Read on for all these personnel changes and more.

Wanlin Liu Carlyle GroupWanlin Liu has joined global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group as Managing Director with Carlyle Asia’s private equity team. Based in Shanghai, Liu will lead the team focussed on buyout and growth opportunities in China. Prior to joining the NASDAQ-listed firm, Liu, who has 13 years of experience in private equity, was a Managing Director of the Principal Investment Area (PIA) of Goldman Sachs in Asia. Carlyle is a significant investor in Asia’s real estate sector, with a series of funds targetting development projects and redevelopment opportunities in core cities in China and Japan.

Joseph Lin CBREJoseph Lin has stepped down as Managing Director for Taiwan at international brokerage CBRE, according to an internal email viewed by Mingtiandi. Lin “has decided to move on from CBRE and plans to commence the next chapter of his life and relocate with his family back to Australia,” the email states. No replacement has yet been announced after Lin’s official departure at the end of last year, and Lin is still listed as Managing Director on the agency’s website. The registered architect joined CBRE as Director of Project Management in September 2009, and took over as Managing Director in November 2011.

Patsy Li has been promoted to Global Community Director at serviced office provider The Executive Centre (TEC), based in Shanghai, after coming on board the company as Director of Community Engagement last September. In her new role, Li is responsible for global community building, programming and events for the company with over 100 centres across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Li returns to TEC after a more than four-and-a-half year stint as director of business development, marketing and events at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. She previously worked at TEC in a variety of management and sales positions from 2001 to 2011.

Eva WangEva Wang Soho 3Q is now Director of Sales for Eastern China at SOHO China’s 3Q co-working division, based in Shanghai. Wang joined the Beijing-based developer in August 2015 as Community Manager for the company’s 3Q centre on Fuxing Road and later took on the role of Regional Chief in Shanghai, with responsibility for filling over 6,000 workstations. Her most recent act involved exploring new locations for the brand’s expansion in China. Wang previously worked at serviced office provider The Executive Centre (TEC) for nearly five years, including as a centre manager.

Ike Cheung Adrianse GroupIke Cheung has joined Adrianse Group as associate director in charge of the regional architecture and design firm’s Hong Kong office. Cheung brings experience in corporate and hospitality projects in Asia and the US to his new role, having previously worked at The Gettys Group in Hong Kong for nearly seven and a half years. Prior to that, Cheung served as a designer with Perkins+Will in Chicago. Adrianse Group, which has eight offices across the region in mainland China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and India, specialises in all aspects of interior architecture for new builds and renovations.

Nina Davies ColliersNina Davies is heading back to London to take a new role as director in the residential division of Colliers International, after spending the past eight years working for the global brokerage in Asia. Davies most recently worked in the Singapore office of Colliers as Operations Director for International Properties, in which capacity she developed the team’s Southeast Asia business and was responsible for a series of successful project launches. She previously worked in the London residential sector starting in 1999.
