This week in Asia’s latest round of real estate industry professionals finding new roles, there’s a surge of hiring by flexible office providers with half of our subjects landing their latest job with a co-working or serviced office operator. Also in the list, a luxury sales veteran finds a new home and an old-school Singapore developer goes digital. Read on for all the details.
Samuel Eyo has joined Wing Tai Property Management in Singapore as General Manager for Sales with the Singapore-listed developer. Eyo joins Wing Tai this month after spending nearly three years with the residential division of luxury property agency Singapore Christie’s International, where he had served as Managing Director. With more than twenty years experience in Singapore’s housing market, Eyo also has previous experience as a Director of Savills’ Prestige Homes division in the city.
Jenny Chan has joined WeWork as Head of Public Affairs for Asia, based in Shanghai, according to an update to her LinkedIn profile. The veteran public relations professional joined WeWork this month after eight years with the Hoffman Agency, where she served most recently as Vice President for Global Business Development with the PR firm. The University of Westminster graduate also has experience with Burson-Marsteller and Ruder Finn.
Patsy Li has joined the Executive Centre as Director for Community Engagement, based in Shanghai. In her new role, the former director with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shangahi will serve as head of operations for the serviced office provider, as well as driving community development and engagement, marketing and partnership development. The role with the Executive Centre is a return engagement for Li, who previously served with the Hong Kong-based firm from 2001 through 2012.
CBRE has appointed Leonard Hsu as Managing Director of the real estate agency’s Hangzhou office, according to an announcement by the company. Hsu replaces Andy Ma in the capital of Zhejiang province, after Ma recently joined a real estate subsidiary of Hong Kong oyster sauce maker Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group. In his new role, Hsu, who previously served as a National Director for JLL in Shanghai, will take over responsibility for managing CBRE’s various business lines and service teams in Hangzhou.
Lucie Wong has been promoted to City Manager with co-working provider TechTemple in Shanghai. Wong’s step up with the Beijing-based firm comes after she had spent just eight months with the flexible office provider as Community Manager. The graduate of the University of Nottingham’s program in Ningbo, Zhejiang province also has previous experience as Strategic Partnership Manager with the Mercedes-Benz Area in Shanghai.
Vivian Leung has joined MSCI as a member of the research and index provider’s APAC Real Estate Client Coverage team, based in Hong Kong. Leung signed up with the firm (formerly known as Morgan Stanley Capital International) after spending three years with real estate investment industry group ANREV as a Senior Research Analyst. The University of Cambridge graduate also has previous experience as a Senior Analyst with the Valuation and Advisory team at Colliers International in Beijing and Shanghai.
Ashleey Leong has joined Perennial Real Estate Holdings Limited as a Digital Marketing Strategist and Content Creator, based in Singapore. Leong comes to the Singapore-listed commercial developer after spending two years with JLL in Singapore as the international property consultancy’s Regional Social Media Manager for Asia Pacific. The graduate of Malaysia’s Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman also has previous experience with media conglomerate Singapore Press Holdings.
