CK Tong, CEO, BW Industrial
C.K Tong is the Chief Executive Officer of BW Industrial Development JSC (BW) – a leading for rent industrial development platformed backed by Warburg Pincus and Becamex. C.K’s core responsibility is to lead and manage the firm’s growth strategy to being one of Vietnam’s largest top tier industrial developer. Prior to joining BW, C.K was head of Logistic Management Service Asia Pacific of DHL Global Forwarding and was responsible for logistics management product across 13 countries in Asia Pacific with a footprint of over 50,000 sqm of warehousing space and managing over 1,000 employees. With over 30 year’s extensive knowledge in the industrial sector, from end user to developer – including end-to-end management of logistics real estate, supply chain, sales activities, and operational services in Asia – particularly in China, his breath of experiences has created the solid foundation for BW to move forward in the next cycle of Vietnam’s industrialization. In his role as CEO of BW, he has managed to significantly drive the growth of the company from its initial seeded assets of 130 ha of industrial sites in early 2018 to over 280 ha in 2019 and target to add an additional 200 ha by end of 2020. In addition, CK is also leading the charge to expand and develop new ideas to capitalise on the growing Cross Border E-commerce and multi-country consolidation demand from the logistics industry in Vietnam and countries adjacent to her.
