A veteran of ten years with the asset management giant, Mellors now leads a team of alternative investment specialists located across the APAC region. His team is responsible for coordinating the sales and marketing of BlackRock’s alternative investment products and capabilities, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit and real assets – including both real estate and infrastructure.

La Pierre had previously served as head of the company’s European operations since 2013, a role that will now be taken over by Martin Schellein. The trained lawyer also had experience with Credit Suisse and ING Real Estate (now CBRE Global Investors) before joining Union in 2009.
