Greater China Real Estate Professionals in the News 2015-10-11

This week in Greater China’s community of property professionals, a Swiss bank steals talent from Xintiandi, a long-time Temasek man moves up the chain, and some agency veterans head for greener pastures. Read on for the all the details.

dennis fungDennis Fung is now Director for Investment Strategy with City Square Real Estate Investment, based in Hong Kong. Fung joins the private equity real estate group from DTZ, where he had served for the last year and a half as Head of APAC Forecasting and Strategy for the property agency. The University of Hong Kong graduate also has previous experience with CITIC Capital and Redevco Asia.

william ngWilliam Ng has joined UBS in Shanghai as a Director of Asset Management. Ng comes to the Swiss financial services giant from Shui On Land spin-off China Xintiandi, where he had spent the last eighteen months as Senior Finance Manager. The University of Reading graduate also has prior experience in Shanghai with Standard & Chartered Bank and Treasury Holdings China.

lean hooi behLean Hooi Beh has been promoted to the rank of Vice President with CapitaLand Malls Asia, based in Singapore. Beh stepped up to his new role after 24 years in the industry, including spending the last three years as an Assistant Vice President with CapitaLand Malls. The graduate of Singapore’s Ngee Ann Polytechnic also has more than seven years experience with developer Ascendas and with US tech giant Hewlett-Packard.

stephan devilleStéphan Deville has been promoted to Project Development Director with IKEA Centres China, based in Shanghai. Deville moved up at the retail development branch of Sweden’s IKEA group after successfully managing the development and construction of its 500,000 square metre in Beijing. The graduate of Paris’ ESTP school has been with IKEA Centres since joining the group in 2007 in Paris.

julia zhuJulia Zhu has joined developer Longfor Group as a Leasing Director based in Beijing. Zhu comes on board at the Hong Kong-listed developer after spending more than nine years with JLL in Beijing, most recently as Senior Manager for North China Retail. During her time at JLL the graduate of Beijing Foreign Studies University worked on projects such as Swire’s Taikoo Li in Beijing, the China World Mall, the Grand Summit, and the Beijing Kerry Centre.

royce sawRoyce Saw has reportedly resigned from his position as a Director with CBRE’s office services team based in Shanghai. Saw is said to be launching his own new venture after completing more than seven years with the real estate agency. At CBRE Saw specialised in the Pudong office market, and also led the business park team for eastern China. The graduate of Nanjing Industrial University also has previous experience as a broker with Colliers and JLL in Shanghai.
