As China gets ready for the October National Day holiday, the region’s real estate companies are still making a few tweaks to their teams in time for the high season. This week a major developer bids adieu to its CFO, a private equity veteran finds a new home, and a Hangzhou researcher finds a new home on a co-working office provider. Read on for more details:

SOHO China CFO and Executive Director Jim Lam resigned his positions with the company effective 11 September, the Beijing-based developer said in a statement. Lam is said to be leaving to pursue other business opportunities. Late last month SOHO revealed that its revenues were down by 92 percent during the first six months of this year, and the company’s stock has fallen more than 40 percent in the last three months.

Kuo joins the New York-based alternative asset investment firm from Arch Capital Management, where he had spent more than five years, most recently as Senior Investment Manager. In his new role Kuo will be charged with executing opportunistic real estate and private equity investments in Asia, primarily in Greater China and Southeast Asia.

The graduate of South China University of Technology also has experience with education provider EF – Education First.
