Greater China Real Estate People in the News 2015-07-20

2015/07/20 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

This week’s job changes among Greater China’s real estate professionals centre on Hong Kong and Singapore, with the mainland seeming to take a holiday from taking on new roles. In Singapore we have one shed specialist changing companies after 20 years, and a fund manager moving up the ranks, while in Hong Kong, the brokers are hard at work at getting ahead. Read on for all the details.

brenda ongBrenda Ong has joined CBRE in Singapore as Executive Director of Industrial Services. Ong moved to CBRE from Colliers in the same city, where she had also served as an executive director with the industrial team at the rival agency. Ong left Colliers after more than 20 years with the firm, roughly at the same time that Dennis Yeo, the former managing director for Colliers in Singapore and the company’s regional head of industrial, took on the role of regional head of industrial with CBRE.

ng do nhu phuongNguyen Do Nhu Phuong (Kathryn) is now an Associate in the fund management division with LaSalle Investment Management in Singapore. Nguyen Do’s new position is a promotion from her former role as an Analyst with LaSalle, and comes just over two years since she joined the real estate investment firm. Prior to joining LaSalle, the graduate of National University of Singapore spent nearly four years with Mapletree in Singapore and Vietnam.

gigi loGigi Lo has been promoted to Senior Manager with JLL in Hong Kong. Lo’s latest promotion comes two years after she assumed the role of manager with the real estate consultancy, where she has spent more than five years, since joining as an intern in 2010. Lo is involved in leasing deals on behalf of both local and international clients in Hong Kong, and is currently studying for her MBA at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

donny tseDonny Tse has been promoted to the rank of Senior Manager with the Corporate Solutions department at Colliers International in Hong Kong. Tse takes this step up with the agency after spending just over a year in the same department as a manager. In his role the University of Melbourne graduate is responsible for helping the company’s global and regional clients with their requirements across all real estate sectors.

kay cheKay Che has joined CBRE in Hong Kong as a Senior Manager with the company’s office services department. Che joins the real estate agency from rival DTZ, where she had spent the past five years, most recently as a senior manager with that company’s office leasing team. The University of Hong Kong graduate is also accredited as a mediator by the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
