2015/05/18 by Michael Cole Leave a Comment

This week Greater China’s cadre of real estate professionals is in luck, because Mickey Mouse is still hiring in Shanghai. Over in Taiwan, things seem to have gotten too goofy for the head of one agency’s investment team, and a Chinese insurance giant is taking on staff to market homes for sale in the US of A. Read on for more details.

eric chenEric Chen has left his position as head of the investment properties team for CBRE in Taiwan. Chen, who had served as a Senior Director with the real estate agency since May of 2013 now intends to devote his time to his family. The veteran of seven years with JLL and six years with Colliers has been replaced at CBRE by Director Andrew Lin, who formerly served with CBRE Global Investors in Taiwan.

vivianne liuVivianne Liu has joined Ping An Insurance as Marketing Director for International Property, based in Shanghai. In her new role, Liu will be responsible for developing new projects in the North American market for the Chinese financial giant. The Fudan University graduate jumped to Ping An from consultancy JLL where she had served as a Manager with the firm’s International Residential department for just over one year. Liu also has experience with serviced office providers Regus and Servcorp.

penny shaoPenny Shao has signed up with Shanghai Disney Resort as Operating Participants Manager for the RMB 24.5 billion amusement destination. Shao comes to Disney from Hong Kong developer Shui On Land where she had served for more than six years, most recently as a Deputy Leasing Manager. Shanghai Disney resort is now scheduled to open in spring of 2016, and will be three times the size of Hong Kong Disneyland.

Wayne HuangWayne Huang has rejoined Colliers International in Shanghai as a Senior Manager with the company’s investment services division. This is Huang’s second stint with the real estate agency, after the Shanghai University graduate had previously spent nearly three year’s with Colliers’ office leasing team. Huang left the Canadian-based firm in 2013 to join state-owned Shanghai Zizhu National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone as a Senior Manager in charge of leasing space.

alicia fengAlicia Feng has joined the China World Mall in Beijing as a Leasing Manager with the retail project belonging to the Kuok Group in the capital’s Guomao area. Feng moved to China World from Singapore’s CapitaLand after spending seven months working with the developer’s retail leasing team in Beijing. The graduate of the China Institute of Defense Science and Technology also spent three years with the retailer representation team at CBRE in Beijing.

pam puPam Pu has been promoted to Assistant Manager with Cushman & Wakefield in Beijing. Pu, who has been with Cushman & Wakefield for just two years took her latest step up just over one year after being promoted from Assistant Analyst to Consultant with the New York-based property consultancy. Pu, who graduated from Renmin University in Beijing with a master’s in applied linguistics also has professional experience with Metro International, prior to joining C&W.

As usual, if you know of other China real estate professionals changing their jobs, getting promoted or just doing something exciting, please feel free to share with the rest of the community here at Mingtiandi.
