China Real Estate Professionals in the News 2014-05-05

This week China’s real estate community sees a number of ex-CBRE hands land new roles, promotions at K11 and Knight Frank, and one old friend joining the health care real estate trend. Read on for details.

Nick Jones DTZNick Jones has joined real estate services firm DTZ as Head of Occupational & Development Markets for China. Jones comes to DTZ having spent more than three years as an Executive Director with responsibility for the Agency and Transaction Services division of CBRE based in Beijing. Earlier the graduate of the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK had served as an Executive Director with Knight Frank in Beijing.

Henry SimHenry Sim has joined Surbana International Consultants as Senior Vice President for Business Development based in Hangzhou. Sim takes on the new role with the subsidiary of Singaporean investment firm Temasek Holdings after serving more than one year as the head of Industrial and Logistics Services with CBRE, based in Beijing. Prior to joining CBRE Sim had been the General Manager of the Hangzhou office of Singaporean business park developer Ascendas.

Roger LiuRoger Liu has joined Ping An Real Estate as Investment Manager with the insurance industry giant’s property division. Prior to taking on his new challenge at Ping An, Liu spent nearly four years with property consultancy CBRE’s industrial and logistics services department in Shanghai, most recently as a Senior Manager.

Roxanne AndrieuxRoxanne Andrieux has joined Healthcare Management China group as Board of Directors Advisor on Investments where she focuses on real estate for the healthcare sector and the group’s pre-IPO M&A development and strategy. Prior to joining Healthcare Management China, Andrieux spent 15 years with Hutchison Whampoa as a senior manager and one year as General Manager of NAI Asia Pacific Properties in Shanghai.

Thomas LamThomas Lam has been promoted to Senior Director, Head of Valuation and Consultancy at Knight Frank Greater China based in Hong Kong. Before moving up to his latest role this month, Lam had been a Director and the head of Research and Consultancy with the UK-based property agency for more than three years.

Eric Chan K11Eric Chan has been promoted to Director (Operations & Leasing) at retail developer K11 Concepts Limited in Shanghai. The new role comes after Chan spent more than three years with the division of Hong Kong developer New World Development after joining from rival Hong Kong developer Wharf in 2010.

Daniel MokDaniel Mok has joined JLL in Hong Kong as an Associate Director. Prior to taking on his new role at the property services company, Mok spent nearly four years with competitor CBRE where he started as a Negotiator and later worked up the ladder to become a manager before leaving to take on the higher level role at JLL this month.

Nami ChuNami Chu has been promoted to the rank of Manager with the Investment Properties China department with CBRE, based in Hong Kong. The step up comes after the University of Hong Kong graduate spent more than three years with CBRE as an assistant manager in the Investment Properties China division.

David WangDavid Wang has moved up to the role of Director, East and South China & Key Accounts, with the Project Management Services department of real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield based in Shanghai. This latest promotion comes only eight months after Wang was promoted to Associate Director from the rank of Manager with Cushman & Wakefield.

Amanda LimAmanda Lim has been promoted to the role of Assistant Manager with Knight Frank in Singapore. Before taking on her new role, Lim had served as a Marketing Executive with the company’s Office Services team for more than one year. Lim joined the property services firm after earlier gaining experience with Raffles Business Suites, and spending more than three years as a flight attendant with Japan Airlines.
